Pay attention to the processing temperature range: The processing temperature of PLA is usually lower than that of polyester. The pigments and dispersants used in the masterbatch must remain stable within this temperature range, without decomposing or migrating.

Functional masterbatch requirements: If you need functions such as anti-hydrolysis, toughness improvement, anti-static, or flame retardancy, these can all be added together in the coloring masterbatch. For PLA, anti-hydrolysis agents are often important additives that extend its processing and service life. 


Biodegradability and Compliance: The PLA Color Masterbatch used for biodegradable products should have a carrier and pigments that do not significantly affect the biodegradability rate of the final product. Additionally, if it comes into contact with food or skin (such as tableware, non-woven fabric), it is necessary to confirm that the masterbatch complies with relevant regulations (such as food contact grade, skin irritation test). 


Sample testing suggestions: Conduct small-scale trial spinning or trial production on your actual production line. This is the most direct method to verify the dispersion of the masterbatch, the stability of the color, and the impact on the molecular weight (or melt index) of PLA.
